A new era at Pure - David Culley becomes managing director
As the worst of the pandemic finally looks to be behind us, we’re excited to start the next chapter with changes to our leadership team. After 20 years, co-founder and COO Gill Buchanan is stepping away from Pure to travel and pursue new interests. We wish her all the very best for the future, and we’re proud to announce that David Culley will become managing director of Pure from 1 April 2022.
About David
Having joined Pure in 2003, David has led our Cambridge team since 2010. During this time, he’s built and developed a strong team of consultants with a fantastic reputation for professional added-value recruitment. He’s also personally nurtured many loyal, long-standing relationships within the business community. Away from work, David has been chair of trustees for STARS, a child bereavement charity, and even finds the time to manage an under-sevens football team in Histon.
David said:
‘It is, and always will be, our mission at Pure to connect talented people with the right opportunities and to support the growth of organisations in our region. I’m proud and excited to work with an amazing team to drive this ambition forward.’
A word from our CEO, Ian Walters
‘Over the past 20 years, Pure has gone from a small start-up to the thriving business it is today. The values and ethos of Pure are deep-rooted, and my co-founder Lynn and I are proud to have worked alongside Gill. We’re enormously grateful for the incredible work that she’s contributed over the past 20 years. Together we’ve given our people opportunities to develop, enabled succession, and safeguarded the sustainability and longevity of Pure.
Looking ahead, I’m delighted to continue working with David in his new capacity as managing director. He’s already an established member of our leadership team and he brings an incredible amount of knowledge, experience, dedication and humility to lead our talented team.’
