As part of an overall succession plan, the business is seeking a new Managing Director to lead all day-to-day operations and work collaboratively as part of a well-balanced and experienced Board. Core responsibilities:
- Continuous development and delivery of sustainable growth strategy in collaboration with the Board, shareholders and senior leadership.
- Day to day leadership of the business to ensure it achieves its strategic goals and remains an employer of choice in the region.
- Drive engagement, productivity and profitability over the short, medium, and long term.
- Build strong relationships with the shareholders, Executive Board and senior leadership team, consulting and collaborating on key developments and company performance.
- Lead, guide, coach and support the management team.
- Drive commercial activity, innovation and opportunities for the business by understanding the market, industry trends and competitor landscape.
- Ensure the business stays ahead of technology tends and developments, utilising technology as a platform for continued growth.
- Ensure the business has a positive impact on employees and the local community.
- Previous Board experience with a track record of working as part of an Executive leadership team driving profitable growth, performance and increased productivity.
- Experience of leading commercial activity across sales and marketing, with commitment to quality, innovation and relationship led customer service.
- Experience within the distribution sector would be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of business finance having had ownership of a P&L.
- A collaborative, engaging and inspiring leader with the ability to successfully manage change.
- Focussed on creating a progressive, engaged performance culture that nurtures, develops and rewards its people.
- Excellent stakeholder management, articulate communication and presentation skills.
