A quality-driven and people-oriented Interim Chief Operating Officer/Operations Director is required to join this specialist consumer product manufacturing business in North-West England in an ongoing interim project, leading teams across operations, technical production, supply chain, H&S, logistics and customer service, covering multiple manufacturing sites. The role necessitates a collaborative, empathetic and hands-on individual with depth of leadership and change management skills in best practice manufacturing and operations. The role will provide structure, focus and team engagement to ensure organisational goals are met as part of a change programme, whilst contributing as part of a focused and ambitious leadership team to the business.
A background in multi-site manufacturing leadership is essential to contribute effectively to strategic growth plans and the identification of business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- P&L leadership responsibility
- Lead, develop and motivate multi-site teams, embracing data to drive a high performing and engaged culture
- Process re-engineering and optimisation of manufacturing efficiencies to drive profitability, quality and customer fulfilment
- Ensure the highest levels of Health and Safety standards are implemented and adhered to
- Develop effective business partnering support functions incorporating customer service, administration, sales and operations planning, warehousing and logistics, financial reporting and business planning
- Ensure the business offers a pipeline of new product developments in response to customer and market needs
- Ensure that the business operates in a way that enhances value in ESG best practice
- Promote trust, respect, ambition and co-operation across teams
