We are currently seeking an experienced Finance Director to join an innovative and fast-growing biotechnology company. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the finance function at a pivotal stage, as the company progresses towards clinical trials.
The Role
Reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, the Finance Director will be responsible for:
- Leading and developing the finance team
- Managing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
- Preparing financial reports for senior leadership, the Board, and investors
- Ensuring compliance with UK and US financial regulations
- Overseeing payroll, expenses, supplier payments, and financial systems
- Administering share option schemes and ensuring IFRS2 compliance
- Supporting fundraising activities, including equity and debt financing
- Strengthening financial controls, policies, and risk management processes
The ideal candidate will have:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification
- Experience in a Series A/B/C stage biotechnology company (clinical stage preferred)
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Expertise in financial reporting, risk management, and compliance
- A hands-on, proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities
