We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, collaborative and professional Director of People, to lead the organisations in the provision of a comprehensive and effective People Directorate across a range of functions, maintaining a joint Directorate that is integrated and coordinated with a team approach across the various disciplines.
As a senior leader and advisor to Chief Officers, key responsibilities will include:
- Overall responsibility for the People Directorate of Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies, leading the following functions: HR, Resourcing, Learning & Development and Workplace Health Safety & Wellbeing.
- Provide innovative, dynamic and effective leadership and strategic direction across both constabularies, delivering effective people services aligned to operational and customer needs.
- Drive changes to organisational culture, ensuring public service is supported and a learning ethos is embraced.
- Ensure the organisations adaptability to a dynamic environment, leading on change both internal and external to the directorate and supporting the people aspect of all change programmes.
We would love to hear from you if you have a proven ability to deliver innovative, dynamic and courageous leadership within a multi sited and multi faceted organisation. Applicants will have worked in large scale operations and have had responsibility for a large diverse HR function. You will have a proven track record of delivering major organisational and cultural changes and have experience of formulating successful people focused strategies, policies and initiatives.
Becky Wilson, Senior Managing Consultant and Paul Sheldrake, Business Director are leading this search. Initial interviews will take place with Becky and Paul via Microsoft Teams during November before a shortlist is presented to Norfolk and Suffolk Constabulary.
First interviews will take place on 14th December.
