Pure has launched the Finance Leadership Programme designed for finance professionals focused on developing their careers, in collaboration with Grant Thornton. The Finance Leadership Programme will be a small, invite-only group aimed to introduce a balance of business insight and leadership development within a relaxed and neutral environment.

Today (Monday 9 November) is Equal Pay Day. This date moves each year and is used to mark the point in the calendar where the difference between the average male and female salaries means that only men will get paid for the rest of the year, and that women will effectively be working for free.
Here at Pure we’re looking ahead to Professions Week and highlighting a profession very close to our hearts: recruitment! Professions Week takes place from 9th November, and is designed to increase awareness among young people about different professional careers and the routes into them.
Recently we conducted a survey to explore differences in how employees and executives view issues around employee engagement. We learned a lot and we shared our findings in a white paper. We observed that the strongest predictor of employee engagement turns out to be a tie between the level of employee respect for executive leadership, pride in working for the company, a positive feeling about the company culture, and a sense that your work matters.
We were delighted to host our inaugural Women in Leadership Alumni event last week bringing together our recent graduates and current alumni to network and hear from three inspiring leaders from key industries. Joining the speaker panel were Carole Edmond former CEO from Bright Horizons,; Harry Berry, non-Executive Director BT and Bridget McIntyre, founder and owner of Dream on, a community interest group helping women achieve their best.
